.......Mexico had several revolutions in the past but none re-invented the government- simply changed leadership.

Gov. Perry was working hard to get Mexican President Fox committed to growing the middle class in Mexico -- to slow illegal crossings into the U.S by making their lives better in Mexico. You're right about Mexico's potential. Just look at all their oil, coastlines, mountains, etc. It shows what crappy governing does to a place vs good government.

The Landscaping company in question guaranteed that all employees immigration papers were in order. Of course since they are located in Chelsea MA, a “Sanctuary City” they were not allowed to make such an inquiry, So they lied to Mitt. Next time, don’t hire anyone from a Sanctuary City.

Yes if Mexico could get their economy going it would help and Perry is the only one working on this, which seems the most logical thing to do.

We spend money in other countries to 'keep the peace'.

The whole system in Mexico supports two classes of people- the elite and the poor. It is all designed so there is no real middle class and there is no legal way for the poor to work their way up to another class. That is the reason so many come here to begin with. The elites want it that way and they have the $$$. I was told by a Mexican politician that the Mexican constitution itself would have to be changed in order to take advantage of their resources and have a system like our- with possibilities of moving up in class and a middle class to begin with.

The cartel war is an ugly bloody thing, and the power the elites have held in Mexico is shifting to cartels. Mexico is going to have major changes very soon. I am sure it will get much worse because I don’t see how the Mexican government can regain power at this point. The Mexican government is in meltdown mode and has no real control. The cartels are fighting each other for actual control of Mexico. The only hope I see for that country at this point is if the citizens that have been unwilling to stand up to the elites to change the country will stand up to the cartels. I don’t really see that happening.

The Pentagon did a report on all this a couple of years ago and stated then that the government in Mexico was in danger of sudden and complete collapse, and that they had already lost control of all their states that border us. Hillary Clinton went down there and came back saying the Pentagon was wrong- and things were just fine. That has been followed up with Janet from another planet and Obama assuring us that the border is safe. So there you have it.

Just a couple reasons I would really like to see someone elected that really does feel strongly about securing our border and enforcing our laws. Don’t see that likely to happen though.
