Whats remarkable is how comfortable he is in the debate format, said Donna Sytek, a former House speaker from Salem, N.H., who supports Romney. She sees a much more confident candidate than the one felled in 2008 after a fitful, error-marred campaign that marked him as a political shapeshifter.
Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney spoke with audience members after a GOP debate in New Hampshire last week.
He was very different from the candidate in the last campaign, Griffin said. I got the sense this was not the typical Mitt Romney of the past who wanted to please everybody in the room. He was focused on jobs and the economy and very comfortable in his own skin. It was the most crisp Romney performance Ive ever seen.
........Four years ago, Romneys campaign was preoccupied with introducing him to a national GOP electorate, gyrating often through news cycles, reacting seemingly to every new development, sometimes in panic mode and at times erratically. The candidate appeared preoccupied with casting himself as ideologically in sync on social issues with the partys conservative base, which viewed him warily because so many of his positions were arrived at in the recent past.
His strength - business experience and knowledge of economics - receded. Instead, questions about his authenticity became the subtext of his candidacy. Romney was often offstride and defensive.

Unfortunately Romney may be the 2012 McCain nominee.
I guess they like the crease in his pants.
The concept of a President Romney is chilling to me.
And Cain is not the anti-Romney. Rick Perry is.
Not that there aren’t things about Perry that disappoint me. But, philosophically, he *is* the anti-Romney in a way that Herman Cain, having once endorsed him, can never claim to be.
FRegards
Herman Cain is not a serious candidate.
Thank God we have a true conservative and a GREAT DEBATER who can stop him.
YES WE CAIN!!!
Not for YOU to decide.
On the other hand in January WE in South Carolina will finally put the pathetic Romney and Perry campaigns out of their miseries.
Yeah, up there in RINO country...remember NH is mostly populated by the leftists who left crowded Massachusetts and Connecticut to spread their error in the countrysides of Vermont and New Hampshire and Maine...and of course, they send their children off to college in Boston and NY, etc.
Romney makes me want to hurl!
I pray you do!
Romney’s biggest problem is his mouth.

I could’ve be convinced to vote for a moderate like Perry(yes, even after he personally attacked conservatives by calling us heartless), but there’s no way you can convince me to vote for Romney.
Romney is without a doubt a progressive republican. And we’ve learned that his advisors helped with the implementation of Obamacare. So in that light there really is no obamacare. There’s only RomneycareMass, and RomneycareFederal.
I will not vote in affirmation of either program. I will not vote for Romney. If Romney wins the nomination, then the november election does not matter. Conservatism loses in February, or March, or whenever the primaries wrap up.
This is just like 2008. In 2008, I didn’t lose in november. In 2008, I lost in March, on the 4th to be exact. Every conservative lost on March 4th. The republicans lost november 2nd.
Romney is a mashup of several people we’ve come to know.
He’s slick like willy.
He’s a flip flopper like kerry.
He’s a progressive like mccain.
And he’s got the media’s support. Until the primaries are over. Once the primaries are over, the media’s gonna roll him and smoke him.
No gun grabbing republican can survive a general election this big. The media can just run headlines for a month highlighting Romney’s gun grabbing ways, and he’s toast. The republican base will be so depressed that Obama is a shoo in.
That’s why the media is puffing Romney so hard, as you see at post 1. The media want Mitt Romney because he is their golden ticket to four more years of Obama.
I don't care if he wins freakin' Miss Congeniality, he's a liberal and I'll never vote for him.
