Marion is actually a nice little town.....but they're hurting economically....the wonderful handmade furniture (that much of North Carolina is known for) has been outsourced and of course, many residents are dependent on what Obama says he will deliver.

Even so, I am curious as to his reception.....the folks I talked to seem quite conservative and 'mountain sharp'.....they don't suffer fools lightly.....just saying

Lovely people....down home, honest, a reverence for God.....still say Yes ma'am and No sir to everyone!!---Just decent folks.

A lovely town in western North Carolina....was there recently.

UPDATE!...Just heard on Fox and Friends that Obama was not well received..in Marion....very few shook his hand.
