>> “We’ve haqd a sales tax in my state for many years” <<

.
Apples and Oranges.

There is no state’s sales tax that is applied to the receipts of professional consultations, for example, but Cain’s foolish plan would do exactly that. It is a thinly veiled tax increase plan, and one that will hit social security receipients very hard.

This plan would do Obama proud, but ironically, he will be able to use it to smash Cain.

She’s just repeating nonsense that she has been told. Its a well established deception.

That is a pie in the sky pipe dream. You have nothing to support that assertion. It is as insane as the grossly unfair “fair tax.”

So you are suggesting that Art Laffer doesn't now what he is talking about? In case you don't know who he is, his Laffer Curve, was the inspiration behind Reaganomics.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1217420754001/reagan-economist-breaks-down-999-planReagan

People are crunching the numbers and are finding that it is saving them money, both on the income tax side and the sales tax side.

Like it or not.

The only ones who seem to be bothered by the plan are those who have managed not to pay any taxes.

No it doesn’t. Overall prices for products could actually go down but worse case scenario is that they would stay the same. We have many friends on SS and have looked into this extensively.

You really should reread my post. Basically I argued the point you just made.

You’re buying into facts not in evidence.

Just because you want it to be true, or Cain says it would be true, it stands no chance of being true in the finished product (not likely to ever pass congress anyway, but that would be the way it would go).

What facts did I use that are not in evidence?

>> not likely to ever pass congress anyway<<

Which congress? The one in place now or the one in place in 2013?

Any congress.

Congressmen gain their power by selling their vote to some group.

It’s probably futile for us to work to change the environment there right?

How would you propose to change it?

Do you think they’ll propose a constitutional ammendment to curtail their own influence?

>>How would you propose to change it?<<

By collectively working to elect candidates dedicated to moving this country back to Constitutional principles.

>>Do you think they’ll propose a constitutional ammendment to curtail their own influence?<<

Surely you have read the Constitution. Very few of the powers that congress now “takes” are authorized by the constitution.

Would you prefer bringing in the White Horse Prophecy where the Mormons take over America and then the world? It outlines the intent of the Mormon Church, (so like the Muslims). Both Orrin Hatch and Glenn beck have used one key sentence taken straight out of the WHP, “When the Constitution is hanging by a thread”!

or would you settle for whatever 999 would bring? In order for that to be enacted, it would have to pass through both the House and the
Senate! Google it! And Romney is at the top step of the Mormon Church. He is a Temple Mormon!

Or would you take your chances with Herman Cain’s 999, which would have to pass through the House and the Senate to be enacted??

It won’t bring anything, because it won’t even get a start in congress.

.

I have lots of Mormon friends, and they all seem to despise and distrust Romney. Most of them are still sick over Palin running off. Romney has no chance.

Well, the Mormons I know speak very reverently about Mitt Romney. I asked one if Mitt Ronmey is a Temple mormon nd she sighed with pleasure and said, “Oh, yes, he is wonderful”.

Those of us that have studied US History need no crystal ball; they are for the willfully ignorant.

Must be tough!
