“We have not identified a way to make CLASS work at this time,” she wrote on the Huffington Post's website.

It must REALLY be bad when the Rats can't figure out how to make it work with an unlimited amount of other people's money.

Nancy said they’d have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it. They passed the bill, and even Obamaton Sebelius found out that it was impossible to implement.

But that what not an accident. Everybody knew that CLASS would fail. In fact, the entire PPACA was designed to fail to demonstrate that an insurance-based plan for universal health care cannot work even with a mandate. In the wake of PPACA’s certain failure, Obama will usher in either some variant of universal Medicare, Canadian-style single payer or British-style socialized medicine.

The whole thing was/is a trap to tax to death americans.

BTW has the death panel made a ruling on this yet. Or did Sebielus pull the plug on her own.

“Where does Kathleen Sebelius get the authority to suspend implementation of a law?”

I thought this disaster was an all or nothing deal. Doesn’t conceding that pieces of it won’t work mean that the whole thing goes.

Is that what’s happening?

well. of the top of my head:

two marxist appointees to the supreme court.

the dodd frank takeover of the banks.

the sb510 takeover of our food supply.

the takeover of the auto industry (with the exception of ford.)

with the republican collectives help, the, i hope temporary, defeat of the tea party and the total corruption of our government.

the massive increase in spending including TARP 1, 2, ..., N
the porkulus simulus and omnibus bills to fund the dem party. funding of his cronies on wall street and the public employee unions.

the fascist implementation of the administrative state, including many elements of obamacare.

the looming takeover of the internet.

extension of the welfare state. the placement of millions more on unemployment thus spending and enslaving at the same time.

....well that’s probably just the tip of the iceburg.

I’m happy to hear that Obamacare is collapsing under its own weight, but as a purely procedural matter don’t understand how HHS can unilaterally suspend implementation of any legislation without congressional action. Does an agency have that type of authority?

................
Good point. CAN THEY? Anyone?

“...the program’s financial structure was unsustainable..”

‘“We have not identified a way to make CLASS work at this time,’

Gee, I guess the rest of it is workable and sustainable?

I was indeed wondering how we can just decide we’re not going to “implement” something even if it’s on the books.

Spent my morning in the Social Security office and then the POST OFFICE. I swore under my breath that ít’s going to be a real bad moment when these same folks run the health programs.

Why uner your breath?

When I get in a long line in the P.O. I usually say loud enough to hear it, "You think this is bad, wait until you get Obamacare"...

You sound like my husband. Most of the time people act puzzled.. but sometimes they also speak up in a good way.

That is what I thought too. How do you suspend something that has been written into law? Wouldn’t you have to pass a new law? I don’t get it either?

how can a law be suspended?

My guess is that in the massive volume that was the "health care" law - the one we had to pass to see what was in it - there was a built-in provision for the program to be aborted if certain conditions could not be met. That is the only way that they could change a law AFTER it is passed.

Unless we are witnessing true, across the board anarchy.
