Why are ex democrats so proud of being someone who was once a stupid duped fool? I would think that history would be something to keep quiet about.

Your logic skills are embarrassing.

He is free to wear whatever he wants off company time. He made his statement by quitting and I support him.

But I see the company’s point. The LGBTWXYZ employee on the next shift will want to wear their rainbow flag. “But Bob can wear his flag!”. Then the Mexican cleaning the rooms will want to wear her Mexican flag pin. And some red blooded American will complain.

The management of the hotel obviously wanted to cut this nonsense off at the knees and focus on more important issues so they just implemented a total ban on pins. Fine and dandy.

The hotel has a huge flag flying right outside. It’s not an American-Anti-American issue. It’s a uniform issue.

An American flag pin is not “just another symbol”. It has special meaning and is appropriate anywhere, anytime, always and forever. Get it?

You are correct about the symbolic nature of the US flag here in the United States. But this is not about the flag, this is about a dress code of a company. If the company dress code says no lapel pins, it means just that - no lapel pins.

I agree.

This is the result of “zero tolerance” policies. They equal no common sense in schools and now businesses. How difficult would it be to just make the policy “wearing American Flag pins are acceptable, all others are prohibited”. It’s the symbol of our COUNTRY.

I cannot for the life of me understand why there is a concern or apprehension about this offending someone. If someone from another country is checking into the hotel and they are upset about seeing OUR flag on the front desk clerk’s jacket, THEN TOO F’NG BAD ! Go about your business in this country and then LEAVE - return to the “comfort” of your own flag.

I find those that “used to be a demonrat” types never truly grasp conservatism.

You equate a Nazi pin to an American flag pin? Who does that - beyond zero tolerance anti-American leftists?

Okay then you agree with me if an employee of that hotel wore a swastika you’d have no problem with it.

That's not the question at hand, and you know it.

If you'd prefer we are ruled by public opinion, by whether we "have a problem" with some behavior in the public eye, rather than the rule of law and the Constitution, admit it and we'll judge you by that.
