You certainly have a right to your opinion. And we can disagree.

I believe that she is now unfettered. She is not owned by the GOP. She can speak the truth and owes no one anything. No one.

I understand how you feel.

Tonight, my prayers are with Herman Cain in the debate.

If Romney is the GOP candidate, we ARE getting a second term of Obama.

White House met with three Romney advisors to draft Obamacare

Good point.

I am so disappointed. I thought Sarah would run and win.

Not mine to decide.

Me too. But she prayed about it and didn’t feel God’s urging. He seems to have a different plan for her.

I met him in person, talked with him too! Also met Michele Bachmann, and spoke with her too!!

Ditto for Rick Perry, Speaker Newt and Romney.

I attended the GOP TEA PARTY EXPRESS/cnn Debate in Tampa, FL. Got pictures with all and all were very gracious and nice to me.

I like Herman Cain very much! I like Speaker Newt, too. I know he’s not a popular choice here, and of course, I like Michele Bachmann!

I’m trying my best to remain open to Governor Perry. He has a lot of explaining and revising to do, and I think his poor choice of words hurt him badly: that “you don’t have a heart” remark.

Keep praying!

I completely agree with your statement above. My question is a bit different though. Now that she’s out, how long will folks care what her opinion is?

I believe she was forced out by the GOP.

Time will tell, but nobody draws her massive crowds. She’s still on Faux News and in demand wherever she goes. Her endorsement is the one most sought.

Palin has been leading the “debate” since 2008. She says what we think. And she states it baldly. No frills. She did not rule out a future run. She is STILL a threat to the left and party elitists. I believe she will drive the discussion in the right direction for some time to come.

Sarah is not done...she is just getting started.,/i>

Oh I think she's well into her game - it's just that most people can't see the whole board she's playing with.

>> “ Would Sarah have gotten this speaking engagement had it been known she was not intending to run for the presidency?” <<

.
Not likely.

I believe that their assessment was that she was a shoo-in for the WH, and that was the reason for the invite.

It would be impossible for her near term influence not to be reduced, but only time will tell which way her fortunes are headed.

She wasn’t forced out. She never entered because she didn’t want the job. How hard is that to understand?

Why do people persist is not believing what she says?

Of the three English language newspapers of any note (The Korea Times, Herald and Ilbo Chosin), two of them made absolutely no mention of her speech.

The only mention in the third dealt with a significant mis-step Sarah made in a post-speech interview with al-jazeera...she talked about regime change in North Korea and the role South Korea should be ready to play when it happens.

Any FP neophyte would know that any mention of regime change for NK while in or representing SK is seriously ill-considered. Her comments caused the ROKs to issue an immediate statement distancing themselves from them.

Were she an actual player in our election process (a candidate) the stuff would definitely have hit the fan.

how long will folks care what her opinion is?

Let's see: It will be clear by March 1 that it's Romney. There are 187 days between then and Labor Day 2012.

That's 187 days for the fact that the election is between Obama and mini-Obama to sink in.

"None of the above" will be rising in the polls for all that time.

I don't know - I think a lot of folks are going to care next Fall what her opinion is. YMMV, of course.

So impressed to learn that even the South Koreans dare not publicly speak of ousting North Korea, yet here is our tell-it-like-it-is Sarah, a WOMAN, no less, and on their turf, a breath of fresh air.

/////////////////////////////////////////////

Frankly, any serious speaker with any real knowledge of FP would have kept her mouth shut about NK while in SK. The situation is far too delicate and dangerous for this kind of talk.

Reagan at Brandenburg Gate - "tear down this wall"

Reagan was accused of "war-mongering" and advised NOT to say it. He did it anyway. Cowards cower.

‘What government can do is to open the gate and then get out of the way and let the people trade, let the markets dictate what should be traded and much of the terms, and I do look forward to seeing that outcome from the U.S. and Korea free- trade agreement.’’

Tell it Sarah! Let Capitalism and free markets decide.
