The end of the article says investigators suspect the perps are synagogue members. Not a fun situation.... Misdirection by the cops and fire dept., most likely. This sounds a lot like payback aimed at Brooklyn's Orthodox Jews for their role in the recent House election.
Oh, the perps may indeed be Jewish, but I'd wager this crime originated outside that synagogue.
