Jay brings up the contrived controversy about Palin and "Flavor of the Week." If you listen to her interview with Greta, she was not calling Cain Flavor of the week per se. She was talking about how the media builds up a candidate, only to tear them down and Cain was "their" (media's) flavor of the week. In her interview she heaped a great deal of praise on Cain, but you would never know that from Leno's comments, which were completely out of context (not surprising). One is left with the impression that Palin was being critical and name-calling, but that wasn't the case. She had been very complementary of Cain. (True, she was calling him Herm).

Yes, the FoxandFriends weekend substitutes have been running with that shading of what was actually said. Interesting how people with high verbal skills think the public doesn’t understand what they are doing. I think of that kind of deceptive behavior as proof that the person who uses it is just a liar.
