Acknowledging that "decisions have to be made" quickly, Sarah Palin on Tuesday laid out a case for not running for president in 2012.
Appearing on Fox News' On the Record, a favorite venue, Palin appeared to be talking herself out of the race in an interview with host Greta Van Susteren.
"Is a campaign too shackling?" she mused. As the GOP's 2008 vice presidential nominee, Palin said she felt encumbered by "handlers." Running for office "prohibits the freedom one needs to really make a difference," said the self-described "rogue" politician.
Added Palin: "You don't need a title to make a difference."
Palin, who set off widespread speculation about her intentions with a series of high-profile bus tours this summer and campaign-like videos on her website, acknowledged that she can't wait much longer to make up her mind. "You have to get your ducks lined up in order to get your names on ballots," she said. Deadlines begin to fall for candidate filings in some states next month.

I don’t know if she’ll run... I hope she does but it’s a decision she has to make. She talked about making a difference without having a title and she’s doing that now. But we already have commentators and bloggers that are saying the same things she says. What we don’t have though, is a LEADER and Sarah is a leader.
Romney will never be a leader any more than Obama is. Perry might turn out to be a leader but I (personally) have doubts about him. Cain could be the leader we need but he doesn’t have the mass appeal Sarah has.
Sarah - like her or not - is a leader. Like Cain, she says what she means and means what she says and she also has governmental experience - which Cain lacks. More than anything else though, the Establishment - the “Ruling Class” is deathly afraid of her. There has to be a reason for that and I’m willing to support her, if for no other reason than that fear.
If she doesn't run, I'll be very disappointed, but considering the savaging she has absorbed (see my last about the implications of MSM forbidding a candidate in the party they hate to run for office, just by harshing on them), she's certainly entitled to what religious people could relate to as a "Gethsemane moment" before plunging into the hate-whirlpool whipped up for her by the LyingStateMedia.

You've been played. There are some Dim bloggers who've been screwing around pretending to be Palin supporters but actually trying to frost people and supply "FR quotes" for DU posters. Check with FReeper casinva, she's been running them to ground in South Chicago, the Wisconsin unionthug orgs, a Texas Democrats NGO and New Orleans community-organizer type NGO's loosely connected to Tulane University. She's posted findings and links on the Texas state board.
I got the IMPRESSION (for the first time) that she may decide not to run based on her comments about how restrictive "handlers" would be to her in a campaign. She said she is truly a "rogue" and talked about how much more "free" she would be to participate in influencing events and policy outside of having a "title".
I've been waiting on her to decide what she is going to do before I support anyone else. I do not think she's thinking "third party", by any means. If she doesn't run, she may endorse someone else soon. It will be interesting to watch and see.
