Herman Cain Swims With The Sharks
American Thinker ^ | 9-28-2011 | C. Edmund Wright

Posted on 09/28/2011 4:20:03 AM PDT by C. Edmund Wright

(Full disclosure: The author has done some writing for Mr. Cain and is currently working with him on his next book.) With apologies to headline writers, the shock of Herman Cain routing the field in the Florida Straw poll and scoring first in the latest Zogby poll simply eludes me. If this result -- which is no doubt tied to the mixed performances during the last debate -- moves him into or near the top tier, I will not be shocked about that, either. All of this is actually somewhat predictable if you are familiar with Herman Cain and how he might just be a man perfectly positioned for this specific election season. When you combine that possibility with one of the main principles of Harvey McKay's leadership book How to Swim With the Sharks..., you can see that this is an almost natural outcome.

Rush is right. An unabashedly and outspoken full tilt Conservative will capture the most votes in this country any time (given that he or she gets past the Leftmedia and takes it directly to the people, as Reagan did.

Herman Cain seems to be one of those.

I don’t think this is the first time Herman Cain has been in a shark tank. Rising to the top in any corporation, you have a feeding frenzy to deal with most every day.

I pray for Herman Cain and I think he deserves the chance.

And a side rant...I just switched off Imus for the last time...I’m sick of these newspeople discounting a man like Herman Cain. For God’s sake, look at what we’ve got in the WH!!! Is Herman Cain better? You betcha.

The insulated bubble that the media is in..and the elite..somehow are ‘surprised’ every time something happens that we the people knew all along. /rant off/

What a difference from the beautiful smile of Mrs Cain and the moped face we have now.

From the article: And during all of this, Cain continued to be the happy warrior. He attacked only Obama and liberalism in the debates and in his other public statements and he remained undeterred by others with more money or higher poll numbers.

I have been a Cain supporter from the beginning of his candidacy, and mainly it is because of that one line. He is not negative, keeps Reagan’s 11th commandment and understands who we must defeat. I am very happy about his gaining popularity and hope it continues.

Herman Cain bio:

■Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

■Master’s degree in Computer Science.

■Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).

■VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury.

All achieved before reaching the age of 35.

Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!

The dems want Perry and Romney. Just like they wanted McCain. They can reuse all the same ole arrows they have time and time again. Repubs are racist. Repubs hate the poor. Cain comes from humble beginnings. They can’t use racism or class warefare. But here is the real kicker... Cain CAN solve problems. He transcends politics by presenting COMMON SENSE solutions. America is in a mess. Career partisan politicians GOT US HERE!!! We can NOT let the Republican talking heads or the dems give us the next candidate. Obama will never win a debate with Cain. The man is about as classy as you can get. He DOES NOT NEED OR USE TELEPROMPTERS.
And since Palin and Cain are cut from the same cloth, I honestly believe her supporters will become his.

Today is payday for me (monthly). WooHoo. I get to donate to Cains campaign. I don’t have much but I plan to set up 20 a month.
I plan on volunteering this week.
I have been emailing the MSM that there are THREE front runners NOT two.
I spend my spare time blogging (dishes are really piling up).
If you believe in him and want to give him a shot then GET UP OFF THE COUCH.
If you are not sure, go to the internet (you tube) and hear him in his own words. Go over the MSM talking heads.
He CAN beat Obama if we can get him on the ticket.

This is where Bachmann, Perry and Romney are missing it: they are attacking each other and what the voters want is the person who can best attack Obama and liberalism. This is so simple. Cain gets it. Heck, I get it. I don’t know why these others can’t get it.

Great! Save it, post it often, send it to your friends; we can't allow them to get away with calling Cain that pizza guy!

Newt tried to issue an indirect warning to the other Republicans when he lashed out at Chris Wallace. It's unfortunate they didn't heed his advice.

Indeed. Newt was right on this point and he has been excellent in these debates consistently. I wonder if it’s dawned on him that his dalliances with political correctness have doomed his candidacy. Only he and Cain have been loyal to attacking only Obama (and liberalism overall) in these debates.

I fear that's a blind spot with him.
