I’ve heard that some papers have plans to not publish daily anymore. Some may go to Sunday only publication, since they sell the most papers on Sunday, and people like the coupons and ad flyers.

But I’m a bit shocked to hear that a major big city daily like the LA Times may not publish a print product at all in the near future.

But can’t say I’m sad about the decline of newspapers, since so many are liberal mouth pieces.

When the Austin American-Statesman circulation department calls to sell me an ultra-cheap subscription (about once a week), I always remind them it seems they would rather lose money as a mouthpiece for the democrats than provide unbiased coverage and turn a profit. And that I am happy to help them go broke by remaining a non-subscriber. They still call, not quite as often.
