I’m no Romney fan but I think all Pubbies will crawl over glass to get B. O. out

- - - -
Think again. I will NEVER vote for Romney, I will write in or go 3rd party but I know too much to EVER vote for Romney.

Hell, I wouldn’t even give him CPR

Sinking ship is right!! The illegal lovers pushing the main illegal lover himself, senor riccardo perrynista, could listen to their clown fraud ask the USA to give every cent our country has to illegals and they STILL would promote the jerk, sinkin’ or not. Senor ricky is as bad, if not more so, than Paul and Mitty. Well, that sounds a bit ‘heartless’ doesn’t it?

“Later in the week, as the results of other scientifically conducted polls polls come out, we will learned what the majority of average voters in America think after the last debate rather than only know what the political junkies at one meeting on Florida thought after the last debate.”

OK but who shows up to vote in primaries?

Perry is not a liberal.

Rick Perry is a former registered Democrat who was Al Gore's Texas campaign chairman. He is an opportunist who changed his party affiliation to further his political career. Thursday night, he looked conservatives in the eye and scolded us, calling us heartless. Go figure.

I've been scolded enough by the current liberal POTUS who thinks he knows better than We The People he serves. No thanks.

Rick Perry is a former registered Democrat

As was almost every politician in Texas prior to the mid to late 80s. Texas has only had 6 republican governors. It wasn't until 2002 that the republicans even controlled the Legislature for the 1st time. But, you know that already.

A list of fees and use taxes for like 911, tobacco, gasoline. If you use those you pay these even if you are illegal. Doesn’t change a thing. You can throw the lottery in there too if you want. The only state tax that Texas has that applies to everybody is a sales tax. That’s what funds higher education.

Look, I want them all to go home too. But the feds won’t send them and the states can’t. So they pay the same tax rate in Texas as anybody else. Texas legislator voted 181-4 to grant instate tuition. Perry supports it. That’s the way it is.

My only point was that considering state taxes from other states isn’t an accurate way to look at the Texas tuition situation. We only have one tax. Everybody pays it - citizen, legal, and illegal.

AUSTIN – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed Rick Perry for re-election, calling him the “true conservative” in a primary election

“He walks the walk of a true conservative. And he sticks by his guns – and you know how I feel about guns,” she said.

He will probably have a firmer answer for the next debate but, with some on this board, it won’t make any difference.

Not true.

Oh, really? Do you have something to back up your assertion?

In an interview with an Iowa radio station on Monday, the
Republican presidential contender explained his role as the
Gore campaign’s Texas chairman by saying that “this was Al
Gore before he invented the Internet and got to be Mr.
Global Warming.” Politico

I'll take what I personally heard from Perry's own two lips Thursday night over a 2009 TX governor campaign endorsement from Sarah Palin.

I do not like to be scolded by a politician. Rick Perry scolded me and every other conservative for being heartless if we disagree about the tuition subsidy. His scolding is too much like liberal Obama.

There’s a difference between “all Americans” and “likely voters”. Generally likely voters provide a clearer picture of where voters stand. That’s not to say Perry wouldn’t be on top in that poll either. Frankly, I think polls this early really don’t matter anyway. Most of the country isn’t engaged yet, even most Republicans.

Interesting... Well Perry could still recover. He’s going to have to change a number of his positions at the risk of being called a flip flopper.

But Perry is indeed a politician so that is certainly something he would be willing to do.

Democrats explain Perry's true role in Gore's campaign from the Fort Worth Star Telegram about a month ago.

“Perry has it all wrong on tuition for illegal children.

The American people are just as innocent as the illegal children. Further, the children are Mexican or whatever citizens and can apply for scholarships in their own country to go to school in the United States.

What are they going to say when they graduate? “I want to thank Mom and Dad for being dishonest and sneaky and bringing me here for a discounted education on your dime””

You got that right, I was really turned off when he said that theses people would become a problem for our society. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT JUSTLY MEMBERS OF OUR SOCIETY! THEY ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS, they are FOREIGN Invaders! They are members of other countries “society”.

Why should we be picking up the tab for their “society” instead of deporting its invaders back to where they belong?

Perry needs to change here.

The Hispanic vote is huge, and they do seem to have solidarity with their undocumented brethren.

The more strident the right is on this issue the easier it is for the radical left to paint them as racists. It's not true, but in elections perception is big. Perry is on the winning side of this issue in a general election. The question will be is he going to survive the primaries.

Find me one major candidate calling for the round-up and deportation of all illegals.
