This is how it starts. In Britian the military has been bullied into all out recruiting at the most flaming of gay pride events. Also they've attempted to force the military to participate in gay pride parades. Solid career military men have been drummed out because they expressed disdain or did not embrace gay pride in the military. I don't think I need to mention that there have been a big increase in reports of force sodomy and same sex sex assault involving the British military especially in the field of course that doesn't matter. What we need to do is to replace DADT with a clear ban on the participation of the military in gay pride also soldiers should be forbidden from speaking out, being interviewed, or promoting homosexuality. Also we need clear protections for soliders who disagree with homosexuality so that they can not face retaliation for merely disagreeing with gays in the military. The key is to keep the military from being further used as a tool for the radical left and complicating what the military is there for and that is for fighting wars and defending America not social experimentation. The ending of DADT provides an oportunity. Now we can produce a series of clear concise easily defendable codes of conduct that reign in the 'flaming gay' as well as protect soldiers from retaliation for expressing normal reservations about homosexual soldiers. DADT becomes DADP. Don't Ask Don't Promote.

"U.S. Marine Corps recruiters accepted an invitation from the executive director of a “gay rights” center in Tulsa, Okla., to “celebrate” the end of DADT on Sept. 20 by setting up a recruitment booth near the center’s AIDS quilt"

What’s happening in this country just makes me want to puke...

I miss America.

This is not the country where I grew up. And it’s not changed for the better.

At this point in my life, I am praying that I am allowed to live out my life quietly and peacefully, and that God calls my name before the sins of our nation completely catch up to us.

Next...a gay will be the only below the zone selectee out of a group of many, many individuals. Coincidence?

And, let’s start a pool on when the first openly gay general will be appointed.

I give it only a couple of years...since those BTZ folks mentioned in the first sentence will “unexpectedly” make it through the ranks in only a year or two (only a slight exaggeration here, but not that much).

Sorry, even though I’ve served with some great folks who were gay, I know the liberal system. The pressures of PC will rise to overcome logic and procedure. And, it will cast doubt on those gays who have been promoted due to ability only.

Just wait.

I agree...

America had such a good run... it's sad to see it in its final, dying stages.

We will get our country back and probably because of having to suffer with Pres Obama. 2012 it will be our turn to take this country back.

Maybe parts of it on the economic side, but the overall lurch to the left in the social arena continues. The homos-in-the-military "victory" won't be surrendered by the dark side. Besides, 70%+ of Americans supported open homosexuality in uniform.

I’m sure everyone realizes that homos will be “affirmative actioned” into positions of authority and rank,

just as those who are of a non-depraved mindset will choose to retire earlier than they would have before 9/20/11.

The point of this is to get those of depraved mind into ranking/command positions and purge those of the Christian/conservative worldview from the military, so that when the orders are given to act against citizens, there will be no questioning or refusals to do so.

They’ve already stated that they have a “next item” on the agenda -

it’s the promotion of “transgenders” and crossdressers.

It’s a shame none of the candidates last night had the balls to say they’d support re-instituting DADT or outright eliminating queers from the military.

Homosexuality is a mental illness. That said, any acceptance of a group whose sole “raison d’etre” is how and with whom it “does” sex is ridiculous in the extreme. The damage this will do to our military will be extensive. This is heartbreaking.

I’m with you. I’m sad every day for this country and what it has become. As my dad says “the devil is alive and well” in the U.S.

I truly believe Southern Pride will not let the South go down with the ship. There will be a day of choosing, the South will choose freedom even if that means war to restore the republic.....

Here’s something to ponder -

why is homosexuality such a huge hotbutton issue on the left, to the point that they will get near-violently angry at any dissenting opinions on the topic?

The left jumps on legitimate causes as a route to power. An illustration of how bad things used to be, in the 1950s Alan Turing the mathematician was prosecuted because he was gay and committed suicide.

Though true, communists do use whatever cause they can to advance their agenda, but I don’t think that explains ithe emotional vehemence you see when someone expresses “homosexuality is wrong”.

They are angry to the degree that a god may be angry when he has been defied.
