Rumor making the rounds (probably started by the National Enquirer) is that Rick Perry and Dave Carney are following the Rocky strategy for boxing and debate...and that is to take some damaging hits to build viewer sympathy (everyone loves an underdog)...and then recover and beat the crap out of them.

Perry needs to bring it. At least for this round.

As far as good story tension development matters, Perry will have to take another beating or so...coming back each time...and then in the climax...nearly beaten to death...he must arise from near death (the ole Rocky resurrection scene) to come back in a determined rage of punches to win.

Dramatic? YES! Realistic? We'll see!
