Because of his tireless efforts, nearly every Morgan Stanley employee safely evacuated the South Tower on 9/11. And while Rick could have joined them, he continued to help others evacuate the building and ultimately gave his life. Ricks wife Susan and his son Trevor accepted the award on his behalf.

If there was just TWO heroes of 9/11 - they would be Richard Rescorla and John O’Neil. Both died at WTC and both warned of terrorist intentions ...
PBS Frontline had a GREAT 9/11 documentary about O’Neil called, “The Man Who Knew” ...
