So, Ohio, how do you like President Obama now that you have had 2 1/2 years of him in the Oval Office? The Buckeye State turned blue for him in 2008, as the majority of voters bought into his mantras of hope and change and yes we can. The centerpiece of his domestic policy is Obamacare and now a new study shows that 790,000 Ohioans will lose their private health insurance and premiums will rise 55%-85% when Obamacare takes full effect in 2014.

Obamacare: we did try to warn you.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
How many have already seen huge increases in premiums? The premiums where my daughter works tripled last month. There is no way she would afford it, so she dropped her coverage. What have others experienced?
gosh, you would think someone would have told us that before they passed it into law.
Oh wait...
I got into an argument with an old friend over obama care, and I offered to send e-mails that would explain the true facts. I was told not to send any because they would not be opened.
I guess obama fans will have to find out the hard way.
This is the goal of Obamacare. To make private insurance premiums so draconian that eventually, just about everyone will be forced to get on the guvmint program.
My premiums went up 81%. This is for a “high deductable with an Health Reimbursement Account” plan.
Also, Deductable went up from $1,300 last year to $1,400 this year.
And, Max out of pocket went up from $2,700 to $3,150.
and without money for silly things like food, Obama solved our obesity crisis !
Americans are going to be in an ugly mood next month.
October is the month when annual healthcare insurance premiums are announced for company health plans. In 2010 those company plans increased premiums 25% or so because of Obama Care.
If Americans get hit with another huge hike in premiums that will make them even more mad.
Also, October is looking to be a terrible month for investors. The stock market is down big time today and that weakness should continue thru October.
Obama owns the economy and his stupid stimulus programs that wasted a trillion dollars.
Once on the gubmint program, you’ll get less to no service, but you’ll be “insured”.
(”Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” - Winston Churchill)
Premiums up about 30% yast year.
Deductables way up.
Coverage down a little.
Fewer providers.
Just happy to have a job after being layed off 2 years ago after 25 years at the old one.
Thanks Obama! /s
You think its bad now, wait till it kicks in.
The private health insurance industry knew its business, had integrity and did not promise ‘somethin’ for nothin’. The industry was regulated by the State Ins. Commissioners and competition drove the product. Group/Employer based health insurance was an improved product - because of age, activity and participation.
Federal intervention has overturned the actuarial math that calculated risk, premiums, time limited pre-existing illnesses, & exclusions for costs of conditions unrelated to disease or accidental injuries. (viagra, birth control & sex changes).
Obamacare is NOT health insurance.
Huge amounts of voter fraud and intimidation here in Ohio and especially in Cuyahoga County....I personally do not take responsbility.
This is how Obama forces people into the government plan...add so many “requirements” that the insurance companies go broke or have to raise rates
Translation: every black American over the age of 16, living and dead, voted for Obama. Estimated black turnout was 115% ...
Seriously, McCain won Ohio geographically. Obama won all major / inner cities, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, plus a few coal-mining (union) counties. McCain won everything else statewide.
Mittens likes it and promises to keep it in place. Perry says he will repeal it.
This study just confirms an absolute known fact about the destructive Obamacare.
