"Public interest."

Code for whatever the government wants to do carte blanche.

BTW, have you heard of "compelling state interest" (also known as CSI)? Whatever federal government wants to do regardless of the U.S. Constitution (USC) with SCOTUS backing.

In the final analysis, it looks the anti-federalists were right after all. The government created by the USC has essentially assumed totalitarian powers. It's only a matter of when they decide to exercise that power.

If the sale went through and Prime canceled contracts, many area patients would rely on the single hospital not owned by Prime in the isolated desert plateau. The bankruptcy judge ultimately approved the sale several weeks ago. As a matter of course, the attorney general also reviews sales of nonprofit hospitals.

So the hospital closes anyway.

There are exactly three hospitals here in this "isolated desert plateau," Victor Valley, Desert Valley (Prime), and St. Mary Medical Center. I was in St. Mary's ER when a Desert Valley doctor told the St. Mary ER doctor that my insurance wouldn't cover me unless I went to Desert Valley. So St. Mary threw me out with kidney stones. I confronted the assistant director of Desert Valley, just as he was showing around a bunch of VIPs. They did not look happy. It delayed my treatment. Prem Reddy is the worst form of vile scum viper.
