I have a question about Romney:

Romney brought RomneyCare to his state, when he was governor, and this is very similar to ObamaCare. Won't that hurt Romney in the primary, and if he wins, in the general election? If Romney is the Republican nominee, wouldn't that takes away a major bullet for the Republicans to use against obamma and the Democrats.

How would Romney supporters answer that?

Romney says that the difference is that each state should make the determination as to what’s best for itself and, in the case of MA, he and the legislature determined that the plan put into place was best for MA, and that states have the authority to require indivduals to purchase health insurance

He further contends that the Constitution does not give the federal govt. the authority to force individuals to buy private insurance and, thus, Obamacare is unconstitutional. He says that if elected, he will, re: Obamacare, immediately issue waivers to all 50 states.

I’m not saying I necessarily agree, or concur with the above, only reporting what my understanding is of Romney’s position.
