Even under your circumstances, the POS POTUS would have an untold army of sycophants willing to lie through their teeth to protect his imperial majesty.
Impeachment? Maybe in a wet dream but not in this lifetime. The Dims would bluster and the Republicans would cower like the scared little children they are.

Bush did set up a blind trust, of course, and even so the press was always poring over his finances, looking for any scrap they could get. And here’s Obama, blatantly profiting from his office, and the press merely looks away politely.

He wouldn't be so blasé except that he knows he will not be replaced. He will either win by voter fraud or create a situation whereby he can declare martial law.
