WASHINGTON It's not just millionaires who'd pay more under President Barack Obama's latest plan to combat the deficit.
Air travelers, federal workers, military retirees, wealthier Medicare beneficiaries and people taking out new mortgages are among those who would pay more than $130 billion in new government revenues raised through new or increased fees. These fees are advertised as "savings" in administration budget documents.

War is Peace,
Freedom is slavery,
Ignorance is strength.
so the whole country just shuts down.
Obama is such a genius/sarc
>>so the whole country just shuts down.
That’s the plan. Destroy jobs. Destroy credit. Criminalize everything. Use inflation to make everything too expensive and then the people BEG Comrade Sam to step in and rescue them through “Affordability Credits” that are yours...if you only surrender your freedom and live the way your masters deem you should live.
>>Obama is such a genius/sarc
He isn’t the genius. He’s just the post turtle reading the play book that his masters wrote. (Yeah. I saw your /sarc, but nothing about this is unintentional or due to his stupidity or incompetence. He is stupid and incompetent, but he doesn’t pull the strings.)
I’m surprised the AP let this story get published.
If they refuse, then the talking point is that the bill was never about jobs but only about tax increases.
I don’t know whether to think Obama and his advisers are totally ignorant about things economic or that this is a deliberately planned strategy to bring down the entire economy and install a socialist dictatorship. I am beginning to think the latter.
—Im surprised the AP let this story get published.—
I’m tellin’ ya’, ever since last weeks election results the dems and MSM saw the writing on the wall. The MSM is gonna start treating him like Bush. He’s getting thrown under the bus.
Alinsky 101.
wow, AP wasted no time in throwing Barry under the bus. The Democrat bigwigs HAVE to be getting ready to show him the door.
The whole Obama thing is starting to remind me of the Hudsucker Proxy, minus the Hoola Hoop.
“Im surprised the AP let this story get published.”
There’s been a few surprising things like this slipping through AP lately. I’d love to be a fly on the wall at AP headquarters and listen to the conversations that have lead to apparently partially lifting the total ban on anything remotely critical of 0bama.
I think you are absolutely correct. It’s not a “deficit” plan, it’s a total destruction plan.
I've notice this new jargon all day, today. Clearly it's part of Obamasprach: Savings = Taxes.
Fees are not ‘taxes’ or so we’re told.
Years ago, Holdren advocated the dedevelopment of the US (in the 1970s, I think). I believe Beck has picked this story up.
There is also a video of someone talking about so many people dying that they would have to be made into green goo and shot into space. I don’t recall if that was Holdren or if he was just nearby, but I saw it in 2009 or so in conjunction specifically with John Holdren.
Always has been...and always will be as long as Marxists exist.
i’ve long argued that the government never loses revenue. When there’s a ‘tax cut’ on one end, there’s a ‘fee’ to offset it on the other.
i now pay a ‘Commercial Activities Tax’ and a ‘Universal Carrier Fee’ that did not exist before the ‘Bush Tax Cuts’.
So Maobama wants to add $15 a month to the cost of a home loan now?
I swear - this has to be the worst potus in the history of the world.
“revenues” and “fees”. I guess we’re not using the “t” work these days.
I really liked the one about the $200 fee to have military retires pay for their free health care. Do you think the walking wounded, amputees, and other disabled should cough the fee up to ensure they are paying their fair share?
And more Orwellian doublespeak from 0dumb0 the commie pig....
-- Govt investment = massive spending
-- Homeland Security = spying on & harassing your own citizens especially patriotic citizens
-- Revenue = increased taxes
