Reminds me of when Fidel Castro came to NY and dined with special guests at Columbia, giving a four hour speech.
He and his ‘barbudos’ bodyguards stayed at the Hotel Theresa in Harlem and were noted for building fires in their rooms to cook chickens.
He was being lionized by the left at the time as no one knew for sure that he was a Communist who would ally himself with Russia.
