Perry was always pro-life and didn't flipflop like Romney. That may or may not overshadow his suspect positions on other issues, but suggests that he'd nominate pro-life judges to the SCOTUS and the other high courts.

Pro-growth, pro-life and pro-states' rights, is a solid platform to stand on. He's no Reagan but as Rummy said, you go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had.

Based on the Schema, I think Newt would win. He’s better with the written word than the others.

Is that really what I said or what you say I said? I don’t have much confidence in your recognition of the truth in any way shape or form.

I think you hate Texan women and I think you glory in cervical cancer. I think you are happy to hear about anyone who might have had a bad reaction to garadsil, just as Democrats got thrills over the Bush Body Count.

I don’t recall saying that about C/conservatives in general, just you and your cohorts in particular.

Realistically, I think a Palin run might split the conservative vote and hand the nom to Mitt. Unless Sarah can get most of the Santorum + Cain + Bachmann voters (if and when they drop out), it’ll be the third leg of the Rudy McRomney stool vs. the Bovine Stool purveyor BHO.

If we were voting on pastor, Gingrich would be out! For sure!

Firstly, it makes no difference whether you are talking about me or conservatives as a group. It was an asinine comment either way.

And yes, I am a conservative, certainly far more so than you as are those in this forum who oppose Slick-Rick and his pro-ILLEGAL alien and/or nanny-state agenda. So your asinine comment was about conservatives -- conservatives who want to preserve the conservative ideal and not have it bastardized by some liberal second-coming of Juan McCain.

You're on the wring side of this debate. I would imagine that most Perry supporters, those who are not overt in their liberal views like you, would admit that in the past they have opposed instate tuition for ILLEGAL aliens, they have opposed amnesty, they have opposed nanny-state government intrusions into their lives and the lives of their children, opt out or not. But you are different. You are proud of your liberal views and prominently display them in this conservative forum via your tagline and your posts.

You're in the wrong forum. You belong in a forum with liberals who share your convictions -- a forum whose participants believe ILLEGALs deserve everything they can get from the American taxpayer. Because that's just what you are advocating for when you advocate for RINO Rick Perry.

btw...nice bike; you look like a runt sitting on it, but a nice bike just the same. What are you, 5'3"? lol!

Is Rick Perry being shoved down our throats like “W” was?

Pro-life or not, he's a crony. So yes, his cronyism overrules him as a legitimate conservative candidate. Perry supporters are either in denial, or they are easily conned. Take your pick.

It's out there in black and white. All anyone need do is look. So, his proponents must be in denial. The truth will not be denied, in the long run. He will have to answer. Then what? A choice between socialism, or cronyism? It's gonna be a problem. I choose neither.

Sad to say, but Obama’s lack of experience has us in a mess

Wrong. Obama's lack of talent is precisely why we are not totally screwed!

Obama is a traitor. Would you rather have a gifted traitor in the Oval Office or an incompetent one?

Scratch comment #111. Shortly after posting it, and being on my way to Church today, I recalled Matthew 5:24. "Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."

As such I just want to apologize for any obnoxious posts I've made.

Wow, talking in slogans and labels is really, really, impressive! /s

I would have thought that if you were really a Conservative that you’d shy away from alinsky methods of innuendo, mockery, and demagoguery.

If you want to simply believe that Perry was power and ego run amok, that is fine. Wrong, but fine.

Once upon a time I felt that same thing but once I let the facts speak I was able to think differently.

And it wouldn’t matter if I was 5’3” or 2’3”, you’d still never measure up.

And as long as you’re comparing yourself to others for validation you never will.

I do NOT like Perry. Hell, I liked John McCain better, he at least is an American Hero who was tortured for his country, and didn’t take the easy way out when given the chance. I admire that in the man. I don’t have that much to admire with Perry.

Soul Seeker - NO ONE speaks for the tea party. Hello.

I am sorry, just because you seem to think that Perry and Romney are ‘ok’, does NOT mean they are our best choices. They aren’t. Look have you gotten sick of the establishment deciding who the candidate is going to be? Weren;t you paying attention when the press picked Mccain for us during the Florida primaries in 2008? His campaign was dead, even McCain thought his campaign was dead!

No, just because Mitt can sucker up money - and we all know how that is done - Bundlers buying influence blah blah blah... thats what Mitt has been doing. Perry is a foil to Mitt, big deal. Perry was once a democrat, and I will give credit where credit is due, when he saw the sharp leftward bent of that party years ago he recognized it and bailed on the party - a good decision - but that doesn’t exactly wow me with his conservative street credibility - just his political instincts. I don’t trust his political instincts. I don’t trust mitt’s either - they are both RINO’s. They do not have my support.

Herman Cain is a person who has walked the talk all his life. Sarah Palin is someone who has walked the talk all her life. THAT is the sort of candidate I want in 2012. I don’t want a “safe” choice because that “safe” candidate is NOT going to make the tough decisions that are going to have to be made once jan 2012 comes along. No, it will be more fo-along to get-along. This country needs a whole lot more than that.

No, forget about the money etc, vote for the candidates who hae the stones to walk the talk, and neither Perry nor Romney have that in my opinion. Do I speak for the tea party? Of course not, but am I saying what a majority of them are thinking... I think so.
