And maine-iac, just a side note of advice to you and other FReepers who get seriously annoyed at the “trolls” who attempt to hijack/divert/degenerate threads:
1. Ignore them. They hate that.
2. When a troll shows up on a serious thread, they soon come under the attention of an admin mod, or the all volunteer corps of experienced troll baiters, otherwise known as Viking Kittens.(Cute cat pictures, droll comments)
Let the experts and/or the experienced troll baiters play with them for a while, before they are either gently reminded of the posting rules posted on the home page, or instantly “zotted”, and no longer allowed to post comments under their original screen name, no matter the date created.
3. It will get much worse. Politicians, and other groups of morally challenged organizations, actually pay people hard cash to monitor and post inane and disruptive comments on internet forums like FreeRepublic.
Ignore the trolls, or just laugh at their lame attempts.
Jim Robinson will occasionally issue a pointed reminder of the posting rules, and violaters will be dealt with, sometimes enmasse. Back to the topic...
