Grease and any kind of soda wouldn’t be missed much in a healthy society. Among other worthless but taste-bud-ego-corporate-marketing-pleasing things.
Liberals are losing their touch. Fries should be taxed per individual potato slice with high penalties if they are not prepared baked in an oven (instead of dipped in hot grease).
Wonder if outlawing fries would conflict with drugs sold on the street...”Forget the cocaine, I need a large serving of greasy fries covered in salt and ketchup, now!!!” Preferably black-market McFries.

Half their food dollars on meals outside the home? Seriously, half? Who's affording that?
Here’s what people aren’t seeing about this.
It essentially transfers responsibility for what kids are eating from something somewhat ambiguous (if fries come with the meal, is the restaurant responsible? Is the kid responsible? Is the parent responsible?) to something crystal clear: the parent IS responsible.
That’s supposedly a good thing, right?
However, what’s being overlooked here is that it not only makes crystal clear that the parent is responsible for their children’s diet ... it also makes them LIABLE for it, right?
IOW, it’s a step down the path to a scenario where parents can be easily be charged with, and easily be convicted of things like, oh, child abuse, for not feeding their kids “right”.
As reference, look at that family over in the People’s Republic of the UK that’s having the children removed and put into foster care (and eventually up for adoption) because they are ostensibly too overweight.

Observing the liberal's mindset for the past 40 years, I'd have to say that psychological projection is a cornerstone of the "insanity" that we on FR ascribe to them. Its why liberals think we need to be more closely controlled or looked after by a governing body - because they themselves need looking after. They just can't admit it.
