Barack Obama For Sale : 50% Off
Zero Hedge ^ | 9/15/2011 | Tyler Durden

Posted on 09/15/2011 4:23:44 PM PDT by PMAS

The following email intercept from a senior Managing Director of Obama bastion Evercore (Roger Altman: nuf said), explains all there is to know about  the Obama presidency, but it does not explain why Groupon still does not have a "meet your president, half off price" coupon yet. Anyway, we'll got and report ourselves to @AttackWatch immediately as this is obviously a non-subversive counter-disinformation campaign.

Hi there - fundraising this quarter has been a struggle (as you can imagine give all the negative stuff around the President) - they are offering a one off opportunity to attend this small dinner on Monday for $25k instead of the full max out of $38.5k, or a couple at $38.5k instead of $77k.  Just wanted to offer that in case you're interested!

This is a real dinner location... you can enter Ralph Schlosstein in NY, and it comes up 820 Park Ave.

I thought theres a limit...

I've been curious about this too. I thought the federal limit was something on the order of $5000. Perhaps its considered "soft" money, where the limits don't apply. Or maybe for your $38,500, you get $33,500 worth of steak and dessert, and $5000 worth of campaign contributions.

Check out the FEC's hand chart. Guess, zer0 has an exception just for him. Seems to me according to the chart, *IF* the dinner was so structured that the money was going to the DNC as opposed to zer0's campaign, then the limit would be $30,800. In other cases, the maximum is less than that for an individual.

From the credit card entry page:

"The first $5,000 of a contribution to OVF 2012 will be allocated to Obama for America (with the first $2,500 designated for the primary election, and the next $2,500 for the general). The next $30,800 of a contribution will be allocated to the Democratic National Committee. A contributor may designate a contribution for a particular participant. This allocation formula may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution."

Maybe the $3,000 difference goes toward expenses, I.e. Lobster, caviar, champagne, etc

[Can someone tell me how obama can raise so much money? I thought theres a limit on how much someone can give money to him]

Well, observe what we didn't hear in 2008...

"I'd like to thank my opponent for bringing up the economy.  Mr. Obama - isn't your campaign's National Finance Chairwoman Penny Pritzker; and didn't her Chicago Family-owned bank FAIL from doing sub-prime lending in 2001?..."

Evidently there's a few tings da Rats, RINOs, and the proud predators of the American dream on both sides of the aisle would like us to...

....jus fahgedabout.

A Republic is a System, of governance characterized by the Rule of Law; and when the Law fails, the Republic fails.

Got Liar Loan Fraud?

Where's RICO, LEO?
