Actually, you have been inculcated to conflate jihad with terrorism by the lamestream media.

In any event, terrorism is politically based, is always perpetrated by political extremists for any number of political causes, and always involves violence against civilian non-combatants.

Meanwhile, jihad, on the other hand, is always Islam based, is waged only by mainstream orthodox Muslims as opposed to political extremists as in the case of terrorism, is always in the cause of Allah, can be both violent and non-violent, unlike terrorism which is always violent, and is always directed against unbelievers, both civilian non-combatants and military combatants.

Moreover, in stark contrast to terrorism, which usually consists of only isolated events like the recent Breivik terrorist attack in Norway, jihad, on the other hand, has been taking place perpetually around the world for almost 1400 years continuously and is specific only to Islam.

In fact, the sixth and most important pillar of which Islam stands makes it an obligatory duty in Islam for each and every Muslim to fight jihad in the cause of Allah. It doesn’t make it an obligatory duty only for EXTREMISTS and it doesn’t make it an obligatory duty only for RADICALS. Instead, it makes it an obligatory duty in Islam for ALL MUSLIMS to fight jihad in the cause of Allah, no exceptions.

Thus, all jihadists, whether of the violent variety or of the non-violent variety, per Islam’s sixth and most important pillar, are MAINSTREAM ORTHODOX MUSLIMS as opposed to political extremists as is the case with terrorism.

Hence, ALL MAINSTREAM ORTHODOX MUSLIMS are jihadists. A few of them are violent jihadists, but most of them are non-violent stealth and deceptive jihadists, and the ones that are not jihadists are not Muslims at all but blasphemous apostates that must be executed per the dictates of Islam.

In addition, the most important difference between jihad and terrorism is that jihad, in stark contrast to terrorism, can also take place via non-violent means. In fact, the non-violent varieties of jihad relative to the violent varieties of jihad take place exponentially far more prevalently. Indeed, it’s not even close.

However, because jihad and terrorism are conflated together as being the same thing, the non-violent varieties of jihad take place completely undetected and unopposed, and this manifestation is analogous to the West being oblivious to Soviet espionage during the Cold War. Had the West been oblivious to Soviet espionage during the Cold War the same way it is oblivious to the non-violent varieties of jihad today, the West would have lost the Cold War.

Indeed, an example of stealth and deceptive non-violent jihad in action taking place completely undetected and unopposed would be mass Muslim immigration to the West and other non-Muslim countries for the purpose of demographic conquest. An example of stealth and deceptive non-violent terrorism in action taking place completely undetected and unopposed is there are no such examples because terrorism, in stark contrast to jihad, always only involves violence. Yet somehow it is invariably conflated with jihad.

Thus, please forgive me for not being duped by our federal government and the lamestream media the same way you have been, as it is not semantics at all but instead very important differences that must to be understood if we are to successfully combat the global jihad. In fact, like a loon GWB declared war on terrorism despite the fact that Muslims never ever perpetrate terrorism and despite the fact that all jihadists are never extremists but instead MAINSTREAM ORTHODOX MUSLIMS.

Indeed, conflating jihad with terrorism is as stupid as believing that Islam is a so-called Religion of Peace™ being hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists, as if Islam is just another innocuous religion instead of what it really is – a supremacist theo-political totalitarian ideology that seeks to subjugate the world into a very draconian form of Islamic totalitarianism via the imposition of sharia, or that we can actually win the hearts and minds of Muslims, which is another fantasy based political correct assumption that our two incredibly counterproductive nation-building missions in Afghanistan and Iraq were based on. Hence, if you want to continue making major strategic blunders, then remain stupid. I don’t care!
