North Korea is the utopia Obama wants for America.

We found out much of the Red Army were disaffected and poorly trained conscripts. The cream of the Red Army was defeated in Afghanistan. The prospect of the larger conscript army fighting rebelling Europeans held no interest for them.

I suspect much of the vaunted North Korean army is similarly in question. Must keep the Dear Leader up at nights wondering how long the army can keep him in cognac, porn and women.

North Korea is a truly benighted country whose physical and geopolitical isolation have rendered its population largely helpless and ignorant.

Key here is that if enough become disaffected with access to arms it will result in a coup with one of two results: long civil war as factions fight to gain control likely with china stepping in, but no major policy/govt changes, as dictator OR someone arises with some common sense to unit the faction as a military junta and approaches the south for reconciliation.

Rabin will prey the living god, gather the good and the Christians.

Friends in the gulag confirm the practicality point has been passed.

Just a week or so ago, I saw a documentary on North Korea.
I do not recall what channel. It was probably either Natl.Geo
or History. Anyway, it was on my satellite system.

It really made North Korea look like a quite civil place...
Very neat and orderly, both rural and metro.
The people “looked” happy and patriotic.

Obviously the documentary was quite censored, with each and every frame.

China wants North Korea to be North Korea..
They like it that way.. else they would change it..
The chinks use the Norks like a rented donkey..

Like Mao killed the millions he murdered.. and made billions more miserable..
the Communists in China could care less about the Norks..

YET.. Target, Walmart and others could also care less..
The Chinese commies are still as blood thirsty as they always were..
A thought to ponder on the next story about China..
Wonder if they OWN the present administration...

The only way the North Korean regime is going to change is when its armed forces, in desperation, turn against it.

The grip that the NK Communist Party has on the country can only be broken by a stronger internal force. And that force is the Army.

Despite China's fears about a massive refugee exodus, the best thing to do at present is nothing but wait in armed watchfulness as events unfold.

When the Army gets hungry enough, things will change. This will not be a top down change and given the character of Koreans when provoked beyond endurance, the change will be very fast and very violent.

My sympathies are with the common people of North Korea, who have been prisoners of a narcissistic totalitarian regime since the end of WWII.

Historically the massive death of an opposing force isn’t quite such a bad thing. War is hell, soldiers die.
The idea of course is to make the other sumbitch die for his country or ideology first.

...North Koreans working secretly as journalists within the country...

Geez, that was brilliant. Expect a round-up of journalists very soon.
