"George Bush was a bit more conservative in my opinion."

Maybe. But, if so, what difference did it make?

Bush REFUSED to enforce U.S. immigration laws, INCREASED the national debt, INCREASED entitlements, INCREASED the size, reach, and appetite of the Federal Government.

I have great respect for George W. Bush as a man, a man of honor, and a patriotic American, but his Presidency was a disaster for the United States.

Perry looks to me like just another politician backed by cronyism and a well financed political machine.

That could be useful in kicking the Democrats out of office and saving the U.S.A. from destruction by them, but who's to save the U.S.A. from destruction by the likes of George W. Bush?

We need Bachmann, Cain, or Palin in the White House!

Not another George W. Bush!

Not bothering to read further in this thread as there is the target.

I have no doubt we would see a "bipartisan" amnesty out of Gov. Perry which makes most other issues pale in comparison. We can correct issues with debt and budget, abortion and gun laws but if we allow 30 MILLION criminal illegal aliens to step into voting booths this nation is done.

It needs to be burned into the brain of conservative, republican and true independent voters that President Bush pulled his bipartisan amnesty stunt in year SEVEN of his terms.

"See you at the signing" was a DIRECT quote, and we are seeing the same policy environment from Gov. Perry.
