“Well, honestly.. what do we need mentally ill Canadians for anyway?”

If they were all violent, raving lunatics, you might have a point.

However, if you read the article, people who may have been treated for depression (among other things) in the past are being turned away.

The Canadians are trying to say that it’s people who have had contact with the police. But that seems to be a lie, as people who have never had contact with the police, are discovering that their medical records are being shared with DHS.

To tell you the truth, I’m a lot more concerned with the way the Canadian health care system deals with the “mentally ill” than anything.

My ex girlfriend was taking Paxil for depression but there was virtually no oversight. It was prescribed for her, an initial follow up was made a few months later, then it was delivered to her door with no oversight for at least two years.
