If someone(s) move something, wonder if it will be above ground or below ground. Technology should be in place, I pray, to cover anything moving. Drones come to mind to pick up suspicious activity. Hope nothing is going on.

Motor trips, unit trips, negetive phase (I 2)relay trips. Transformer trips. distance relay trips, , load rejection trips, ground fault trips, out of phase trips, all which can sever the unit connections to the line and cause cascading trips in other power plants.
Several years ago the Jim Bridger plants in Las Vegas NV tripped off causing cascading trips which shut down power to much of the West coast.
Let me try to explain it as simply as possible.

We (Yuma) got our power back a little after 6PM. We have seen worse. BTW No looting, just neighbors outside offering advice.

Yep - I believe it was an older woman at one of the small ferry terminals. Noticed something suspicious about the guy, talked with him and I think he took off mid-conversation. She chased after him on foot IIRC with the radio and others caught him.
Found some homemade batch of explosives in his trunk and a a map of some landmark in California (a stadium??).
