You don’t need mountains for good mountain biking - just off-road terrain. You can find hills where the earth-movers have left dirt piled up.
Florida has a mountain bike chapter called “Flat Mountain Club” or something like that.

Nahhh, back when I used to that ride it was just the Lajitas race on the Texas circuit.
I know some of the people that still do that event, if you ever meet Mike Long from Desert Sports, don’t tell him you know me ;)
Last time I saw him he peeled a Bush-Cheney ‘04 sticker off my truck when I wasn’t looking.
Beautiful area to ride, though, a worthy use of liesure time.
