My good pal Pam takes care of his bike, on the trail and after the rides. I begged her for a year to get me on a ride with him. Few weeks ago I signed one of my mountain bike books and wrote a nice dedication to him, and got a call last week saying he insisted on meeting me.
Before the ride he is shaking hands with all the other riders he knows, I’m sorta standing in the back. He looks at me and says “you the author?” I was like, uh uh uh, yes Sir. “I like the way you write, son.”
Kill me now, my life is complete.
Great picture and a “Big time” treat for you. My, “that guy” surely has lost a bunch of weight. Thanks for posting but I don’t think it took much prodding. LOL.
Well, we didn’t ride in that part of my beautiful state. You’d be surprized, north Texas has a few hills and not so much green grass, these days anyway ;)
But it ain’t burning around here, we are thankful for that.

I love the part where a guy behind the Prez eats it. I mean, it ain’t funny, that guy probably don’t have all his parts. But, as a mountain biker, it was good for a laugh.
I’ve been down around where they filmed that, never rode in Big Bend State Park, but I know Brewster County some.
