WHITE CITY, Ore. -- Labor Day is usually associated with rest, relaxation, and last minute school shopping.
Today, some people spent their holiday firing machine guns.
The event was open to the public for anybody who wanted to fire one of the eighteen full auto machine guns or a silenced handgun. This event allows the public to have exposure to these expensive weapon systems in a safe environment that they normally would never get the chance to.
The holiday machine gun tradition started off in Grant's Pass and takes place on Memorial Day as well.

Wow, and in Oregon too! Of course you notice the liberal cities of Portland, Corvalis, and Eugene haven’t decided to hold an event like this!
They also hold a machine gun shoot every year in Grants Pass, Oregon, 40 miles from White City.
Class III ownership is easy to get in Oregon, most sheriffs and chiefs of police are happy to sign off on the NFA letter and there’s lot of people here who own full-auto weapons, silencers and short-barreled shotguns and rifles.
