During the UT-Rice game on Saturday the Rice University marching band (Owls) took to the field at half time
and to the delight of those in the stands, made some comments about Rick Perry.
“The next time you go to the polls, ask yourself, ‘Is your candidate smarter than an Aggie?’”

Personally, I’ve never been that impressed with “smart” people or “intellectuals.” Neither were Eric Hoffer, Paul Johnson and Thomas Sowell. Their contempt for “intellectuals” was boundless.

The fact that teachers and professors lack functional intelligence (and thereby the ability to succeed in the real world) is why they chose to cloister themselves in schools and ivory towers to begin with.
The “youth” supported Obama in 2008. Their wisdom is non-existent.

I’m not looking for a candidate smart enough to run the country. I am looking for one wise enough to know it can’t be done. A President’s legitimate job is not running the country, that is, you, me and the rest, but just running the executive branch of the federal government.

He's not even an actual intellectual. If he was, with his ego, he would have released his college transcripts long ago and gloated over them.
