Why would the media want to “draw attention” from Sarah’s speech? They cover her every move.

Still, I think Christie is one of the few governors who has actually led a state to a budget which spent less than the previous year. Compare that to Perry, who has led his state to double it's budget in 10 years (well above the growth rate).
Also, when Christie speaks, George W. Bush's accent doesn't spill out of his mouth. He's not a Texan, and he isn't George W. Bush. That's why I think the Obama team wants to run against Perry. They think they can portray him as Bush III, and they think that's a winning strategy.
I like Palin because I think that domestic energy is the key to jobs, and I think she understands that. But we do need someone with experience shrinking budgets and making government smaller. That's a tough order in the Republican ruling class. They talk the talk, but very few have walked the walk. We don't need hot air in 2012, we need results.
