Minjiang, Dead Fish

Minjiang aquaculture base. A large amount of cultivated fishes were found dead with unkown reasons in recent days. The Minjiang River is the largest aquaculture base in Fujian. The floating dead fishes, decaying in hot weather, have been polluting the river, the main drinking water resource of the province. The cause is still under investigation.

China fish products are incorporated into all sorts of American market food and consumer goods.

Much of shrimp and fish from china is grown with the help of human waste.
Good luck with eating that.

My great-great-grandfather was a missionary who died on the Minjiang River. Never expected to see it mentioned here.

You are absolutely correct, Joe Boucher. Many folks think when they see “farm raised” that somehow the food is more healthy? The Chinese use human feces to feed them... they also use human feces to add to the soil for vegetables. My husband saw that first hand when he was in China. Tomato plants with human turds on the base of the plant.

China produces the majority of tilapia, which is one of the reasons I won’t eat it.
