“How can Perry support Hillarycare in April 2003 when Hillarycare was non-existent until November 2003?”

For me, it’s a matter of commending HILLARY - it shows poor judgment. He should have known a controlling, socialist like Hillary would not do us any good.

“Again, your efforts are worthy,” Perry concluded “

Shouldn’t Perry have known that Hillary’s efforts would NEVER be worthy?

Or maybe Perry was just kissing up?

But having said that, Perry is not at the bottom of my list, as he has some good qualities, but Perry supporters seem blind to his troublesome flaws. They need to research further, and compare all of the candidates, so they do the best job when they vote in the PRIMARIES!

And that's a legitimate issue, just as him supporting Gore a quarter of a century ago. But I personally think it was a formal letter based on Perry's position as Ag Commissioner that would have been written regardless of who was heading up the task force.

I just have issues with people on here saying that by writing that letter he supported Hillarycare, when the timeline proves otherwise. Or, saying Perry was Gore's campaign manager. Or, saying that Perry's gay.

Bill and Hillary had been talking up their national health care plan throughout the campaign everybody knew what the plan was going to consist of including Rick Perry. Any other suggestion is either naive or disingenuous
