This sounds like a commercial venture through her booking agent given the venue?

Former Alaska governor Palin, a darling of the ultra-conservative Tea Party movement, made headlines in November last year with a verbal gaffe on Korea.

Just couldn't resist could ya AFP?

I thought the same and wondered why no comments about Larry Summers, ex-director of US President Barack Obama's National Economic Council.

“She also plans to meet with South Korea’s next presidential contenders and major politicians during the forum,” it said without elaborating.

Are they filming a Dancing with the Stars episode there? Maybe she’s going with the cast of the Jersey Shore?

If the media could find out and report on when Governor Palin was planning to heat up a frozen pot pie next Monday, there would be people who would believe it is a sign she is running.

Following Palin’s every move like everything she does must have some major significance has reached a level of complete absurdity.

Maybe commercial. Maybe not. That is right smack in the middle of two debates I think. One on the 11th, New Hampshire, and one somewhere on the 18th? I’d be pooped, but then what the hey, it’s the way it is.

I did read the whole article. Couldn’t figure out the bono fidis so no real reason to think it was “political”. Thinking in terms of Paul Ryan types would lend some seriousness to the “forum”.

High profile candidates or potentials gets invites to speak at foreign conferences all the time, not the low ring ones though. It is standard procedure. Plus the fact that she is meeting Korea’s Presidential candidates makes it more political than just a “Hi, I’m here a minute” speech
