I am shocked!~ Shocked, I tell you! However, Having seen Portchester, I would hesitate to make such a sweeping assessment. Unless, old Lifesavertown is now used as a Latino dormitory.
BTW,That old Life Saver Factory in PC was a tremendous aid to foggy-night navigation before GPS. You could take a bearing on the orange smell all the way from Bridgeport, as you neared PC, you could adjust your heading for New Rochelle by turning toward the night smell from the Bronx ... sorta like pizza. Thank goodness we were only carrying gasoline.
