WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says his administration is considering seven new government regulations that would cost the economy more than $1 billion a year, a tally Republicans will pounce on to argue that Congress needs the power to approve costly government rules.
In a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, Obama lists four proposed Environmental Protection Agency rules and three Department of Transportation rules estimated to cost in excess of $1 billion. ..

That is Job #1 for many these days.. and with good reason.
If the GoP rolls over which it may well do in same way shape form or fashion.. let their gravestones contain nothing but fineprint of all the regulations they allowed a nation's economy to be strangled death with.

It will be handled with boneheads renowned gusto!\s
It amazes me that the country is drowning in debt that we may never pay off, about 25 million out of work and these idiots want to spend more money that won’t do a thing to fix the problems. They all need to go and go now.
He won’t stop until America stops him, which can’t happen until Nov 2012. Or actually Jan 2013. He can do a lot of damage between now and then, and he clearly intends to.
Nowhere in the article does it clarify whether this is $1 billion TOTAL or EACH. I’d bet EACH.
If coal is so bad why did we give OUR TAX money to India and South Africa so they could develop coal companies? This is going on NOW.
Yes. Each is well over $1 billion..

The EPA is considering some sort of "ozone regulation" which will cost between $19 billion and $90 billion, a Coal and oil utility regulation which will cost at least $10 billion, and some other regs which will cost over $1 billion each.
