Well, that's just weird. Seems there are enough female names starting with the letter I, that they wouldn't have to re-use the name, Irene, so soon.
Just off the top of my head I can think of Inez, Ingrid, Isabel, and India.
There’s actually a set list of names that are recycled, apparently every 6 years, and names are only retired if they are catastrophic storms.
Note the next name on the list is Jose, a storm which is spinning aimlessly out to sea in the mid-Atlantic.
Let’s pray that we have no retired names from this year.
