I know many people who would be prompted to flee at the prospect of an Obama speech. But were words from the World's Greatest Orator really responsible for Maryland residents threatened by Hurricane Irene to follow evacuation orders? Yes, according to Dem Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.
Clearly in full federal suck-up mode, O'Malley also spoke of the "new professionalism" at FEMA and even claimed that the economy was improving. View the video here.

I heard the speech. It was the first time I had ever heard common sense from the President. But common sense, not inspiration, caused evacuation from the coasts. Where are you now, Governor? At the Emergency Center?

O’Malley has to be hoping that O decides not to have Biden run with him again, or maybe he’s angling for a cabinet position. The MAYOR of Ocean City, MD put a mandatory evacuation into effect while POTUS was still on the links in Martha’s Vineyard.

BS BS BS BS...Maryland residents aren’t use to hurricanes...all the scary hype didn’t help either...down her in Texas having lived close to the gulf coast all my life...I do not listen to those you’ve never been through one or have only lived close to the coast and not experienced a hurricane....I learned long ago when to go and when to stay...
