(snip)
McCain said he is aware of the perception of Congress at the moment, noting the current approval rating of 10 percent and adding, Ive yet to meet anyone in that 10 percent at these meetings. He said he has heard time and again from people who want him to reach compromises with the other side of the aisle, that Washington is polarized and unproductive.
Folks, Im ready to compromise, he said. But not on principle.

Didn't we trying reaching across the isle only to have it stuck in and snapped off? How about this for “principle”? Have an argument on the facts, not the emotion. Conservatism wins every time except when it is diluted and polluted with RINO dung.

Please forgive McCain as he is an tired old man. Wake up Arizona... McCain is no different that my US Congressman John Lewis. Heroic men of a by-gone era who both rot on their laurels.

Why would he feel the need to compromise with Democrats when he is one?

He said he has heard time and again from people who want him to reach compromises with the other side of the aisle. This is bull**** and that bastard McCain knows it. He does not read his mail.
When Slick Willie pardoned those Puerto Rican cop killers before leaving office, I sent McCain a letter raising hell about those pardons. A couple of months later, I received a letter back FROM MCCAIN thanking me for my interest in Puerto Rican statehood. A damn scanner read my letter. McCain is a liar.

For McCain, compromise IS his core principle. Effing RINO.Maybe this is a reflex action he picked up during his North Vietnamese days. He probably caved into the Communists in Vietnam and he can't help himself in his caving in with our Communists in power here: The Democrat Party.
He always talks about his time in North Vietnam. Maybe that is where his mindset is and he is still giving in to his former masters.
p.s. I accept no guilt trip about this creep!

No probably about it. It’s a known fact (at least to AZ Viet Nam vets) that McCain broke. There were other men who were tortured who did not break. I make no judgment call myself.
But there’s more than that. McCain came to Arizona looking for a place to run for federal office, i.e., he was a carpetbagger. During the S&L scandals of the 1990’s, he was a member of the Keating Five and admitted to getting free plane rides and vacations from Charles Keating. Apparently, he learned nothing, because prior to 2008, he got caught taking free plane rides again, this time in his wife’s corporate jet. He’s noted for having a nasty temper and... Well, I guess you can figure out my opinion of the man.
