Backlash begins as rebel leaders in Benghazi criticise those storming Tripoli

Rebel commanders in Benghazi fear losing ground in Tripoli after the weekend’s rapid assault, amid poor communications, lack of planning and wasted ammunition.

Leaders in the eastern port city have suffered a difficult 24 hours, watching their forces become embroiled in a Tripoli street fight.

The episode has revived long-standing tensions between the professional army units and the young, inexperienced revolutionaries — students, the unemployed and Islamist militias — that comprise the 20,000-strong rebel forces.

Reports from the Libyan capital suggest the weekend’s helter-skelter advance has left rebel units isolated inside the city.

“If they were proper soldiers they would have secured their entry points to Tripoli, not wasted all their ammunition celebrating,” said a senior rebel air force officer speaking on condition of anonymity.

“They have moved straight through the city without thinking about whether they can hold on to anything. But these are civilians. What do you expect?”

One confidential assessment said Gaddafi fighters were better organised, with secure supplies of food, water and power.

The rebel leadership has long struggled to maintain an effective chain of command. In the early days of the uprising the young volunteers eschewed training in weapons and tactics. Instead they assumed victory would come rapidly.

But every gain along the road from Benghazi was short-lived.

Chaotic columns of gunmen would drive at Gaddafi positions only to turn tail as they came under fire. Rapid gains turned into rapid retreats until Nato forces began bombing Gaddafi forces.

Even then the advance stalled.

However, rebel leaders publicly insist the battle of Tripoli was on course.

General Omar el-Hariri, the military representative on the opposition National Transitional Council, said he was confident that his forces would continue to cleanse the city of Gaddafi forces.

He said he was not surprised that rebels faced a tough

WOW. Reminds me of a WWII joke - what's the difference between cuckoo clock and Rommel - Clock says tic tac and goes forward. Rommel says tac tic and goes backwards.

Only, this is not a joke. NATO and their Rats follow the same pattern - tactical retreat from Tripoli.

Once they got chased out, NATO criminals will continue with area bombing and mass murder of civilians. On Sunday night they murdered more civilians than Hitler murdered in Coventry or Rotterdam.

All in vain - Operation Marmaid Dawn hoax has been exposed and AQ, Qatari troops and NATO officers being mopped up by Daffy forces.

Now MSM backpedals from the exposed hoax.

Vacationer in Chief can claim another victory. In hoops or golf. Before his boss calls him to explain the losses.

Men brandishing RPGs and SIG57s, looting and murdering around Tripoli are not civilians. They are terrorists supported by NATO criminals.

What I expect? I expect to see them dead.

“If they were proper soldiers they would have secured their entry points to Tripoli, not wasted all their ammunition celebrating,”

These are the kind of jerks who love to shoot their guns into the air, without a thought of what the bullets might do when they rain back down into the city. Like a bunch of Mexicans celebrating New Year's Eve.

And Obama used our tax dollars to pay for their guns and ammo. Nice. How many women and children has he killed?

NATO/Obama were pulling out all the stops due to that September deadline. So their great plan was to redo the TET Offensive ? And they used the same media structure that the North Vietnamese used to lie about the offensive gains ?
