Not really. He wants the border secured, Bush did not.
If Perry wanted the border secured the Texas National Guard would already be doing it.
Bullsh!t. You're either ignorant of the facts or a liar.
Perry stated last year that he supports Vicente Fox's vision of a fully open border between Mexico and the USA.
Only prosperity keeping Mexicans in Mexico.
[ Not really. He wants the border secured, Bush did not. ]
He says he wants the border secured... that can mean anything.. WALL?... Mines?.... death squads?.. Rhetoric?.. What?..
Both Bush and Perry insisted they were "against amnesty" and wanted the borders secured. Both GOVERNED in a way that did the opposite.
Here is a George W. Bush quote on border security:
"America needs to secure our borders--and with your help, my administration is taking steps to do so. Were increasing worksite enforcement, deploying fences and advanced technologies to stop illegal crossings. Weve effectively ended the policy of catch and release at the border, and by the end of this year, we will have doubled the number of border patrol agents."

And this differs from Perry playing footsie with illegals but vowing that feds should "secure the border" how?
