...But one person I never thought would fall into this valley was Barack Obama, the charismatic candidate who electrified the electorate in 2008 and whom many saw as the fulfillment of the dream of the even-more-electrifying Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Yet here Obama is, down in the valley, struggling to connect with the American people and failing, increasingly coming across as dispassionate to some and outright revolting to others...

“...dispassionate to some and outright revolting to others.”
Put me down in the “Revolting” column.
The NYT must have a quota system. This is laughable.
The writer belittles the entire GOP field and then finishes with this:
“The country needs the president to rise to this crisis in word, spirit and deed. We need him to reach out of his nature and into the nations need. We are on the precipice. Theres growing concern that we may slip into a second, more painful recession. There is little optimism that the housing crisis will loosen its grip on the economy anytime soon. The unspeakable truth is that we may well be on the leading edge of a prolonged period of national stagnation, if not decline. “
What a genius. He thinks the Big O can “reach out of his nature”. What a tool. Oh, and his name is “Chuck Blow”. You just can’t make this stuff up.
The only people shocked, dismayed and disappointed by Obama’s impotence are those who were fooled by him in the first place. I never had that problem.
There was never any “there” there with this empty suit. He was and is a fraud, nothing more. I expected nothing but incompetence, and he hasn’t disappointed me. In fact, he has exceeded my expectations.
Marion Barry with a teleprompter.
What worse than this pathetic article is reading the readers responses. Whining, outright crying, a glance back at the past of the high hopes of billions of people world wide, while the evil Republicans block his every move. Geez with the trouble this Nation is in, and so many fools actually grade Odumbo highly. I shake my head, trying to clear out the blood that is shooting from my eyes.
I'm with you on this. In my seventy-five years on this planet, I've encountered innumerable con artists. Obama has lived up to my every expectation.
The writer of the NYT piece on nobama is one limp-minded fool (and poor writer...to top it off).
Maybe he should use Upchuck Blow.
Its a good thing that Mr. Obama and his minions (He has minions? Yeah, what else would you call them?) buy into their OWN propaganda, otherwise we would in worse trouble. Were in a world wide Depression (Still early in the cycle of it, and its going to get a lot worse, before we hit the bottom of it, never mind start to climb out of it.) and Mr. Obama and his people think they can MANAGE events SKILLFULLY. His own supporters are going to act against him in ways he has not forseen. Think about those flash mobs, I dont think he has.
