IIRC Sarah never said she’d ONLY support ‘Tea Party Candidates’. I believe she said she’d support those who shared her common sense conservatism when she could, but would also put her support behind those who may not be as doctrinaire, but who shared her views in general, and who also could be elected.
Meanwhile conservatives are rebuilding the party from the ground up, and soon we'll have more truly conservative, viable candidates from which to choose.
