“...some union boss said it was “open season” on non-union workers...”

They need to be really careful with that crap talk.

“Open Season” can work BOTH ways.

Thank you. What I find distressing about this issue is that dozens of Freepers, who are immune to ALL the liberal BS about guns, and race, and US history, and on and on and on, for some reason buy into labor’s line 100% completely and totally. They believe EVRY word Michael Moore and their history books tell about the labor movement, but somehow are smart enough to know better on all other issues. Spooky.

I do not doubt this story for a minute. 20 years ago I knew a man that was threatened in the same manner for the same reason; he owned a similiar company. He was threatened like the Sopranos would threaten. Looks like the mafia and Obama’s mob are one.

Very,very,sad.

Unions are now the mafia.

In northern Ohio they've BEEN the mafia forever. Same thing for a lot of places.

Then it’s up to folks like you and me and others to change their minds, isn’t it? And accept the fact that some folks WILL get it eventually, and others just won’t.

People disagree on a myriad of issues; but we all come here, for the most part, to learn, to vent, and to use the benefits of our own experiences and knowledge to educate others, and to be educated by others with greater experiences, knowledge and wisdom.

On the whole - I’d share a fighting hole with 97% of the folks out here in a heartbeat - even those who disagree with me.

What it shows you is the extent of the damage the left has done to the country in making their bullsh*t believable.

Use it and undo it wherever you can, brother.

I avoid several unionized stores in my area. It is getting easier now that one closed up shop and moved out. The Unions has a huge temper tantrum when that happened, which was fun to watch as the members realized the Union couldn’t save the jobs. The blamed their “greedy” former employer or any new employers moving into those spaces.

Bump to keep this in the sidebar where people will see it!

Here in WI, we have seen the ugly evilness of unions. Lately, the public union has showcased it’s soul-less vile serpent head.

Last week we good guys got some good news. The WI teacher’s union organization called WEAC, announced it is laying off 40 percent of it’s goons!

Seems that now that the public teachers, don’t have their union dues taken by force out of their paychecks by the union, not too many teachers are voluntarily giving the union it’s “dues”.

And so we see why the ObamaThugs fought so hard to defeat Governor Walker’s budget bill. The unions knew that after dues were no longer deducted automatically from paychecks, most people would no longer pay the dues and the unions would lose more and more power until someday in our future, the public union will become a little gnat easily swatted away while WI taxpayers will no longer be property taxed out of their homes by greedy public teachers and their union bosses.

END OF RANT

I agree largely, although I must urge caution in the extent and nature of contracts which the Government enforces.

Some Contracts violate the inalienable rights of the presorted parties. Sometimes as aggressively as obligating a non-signatory party like the children of a signatory, and sometimes simply by deception.

There must be some level of caution and vigilance regarding the extent and nature of contracts which our common goverment agrees to help enforce.

Sounds like we need a RICO case against the IBEW.

This is strongly reminiscent of the mob actions that occurred in Hitler’s Germany in the early thirtys. Brown shirts, purple shirts...the method is the same. Cuidado America.!
