Did you catch Rush yesterday?
He was relating Paul Krugman’s verbal diarrhea of, “digging holes and filling them up again” as an example of productive work. And another way to kick-start our economic engine and spur the U.S. economy? Krugman says the ticket is “Invading space aliens.”
These people are dangerous fools.
Yes, they are. I missed Rush yesterday (work). HOORAY Rush!
I am strongly in favor of Krugman being abducted by Invading space aliens.
>>These people are dangerous fools.
You are far too kind.
Occurred to me we've bought into another instance of the Left framing the issue:
Creating jobs is easy, especially by government: just take money from one person and give it to another under arbitrary "work" conditions.
We don't need jobs per se. Those are easy to create, but go nowhere as the government's solution is just move that money from one person to another as fast as possible - that doesn't do anyone any good. Example:
We need wealth-creating jobs. And we need to harp on the prefix.
Example:
Any time the Left says anything about the government "creating jobs", we MUST retort with "make-work jobs do nothing if they don't CREATE WEALTH - what is the government going to do to create WEALTH-CREATING jobs?"
Need to distil this to a better soundbite.
